Very informative and highly recommended.Winter is not only about snow and ice-related natural wonders. We watched the second one lay eggs, cover her nest, and return to the ocean. We were able to watch one loggerhead cover her nest and return to the ocean. Three loggerheads were spotted, very unusual. Bring bug spray/towelettes and apply generously. It is highly suggested to wear long sleeve shirts and long pants, loose fitting for warm weather. We headed out caravan style to mile marker 6 and waited for scouts to notify the Park Rangers. The program began with a video, followed by a discussion on different turtles while the scouts were out looking for loggerheads. The program begins at 8:00 pm however I would arrive 20 minutes early to look at the exhibits in the visitors center. The 8 year old was free and this program is not for anyone younger than 8. If you have a Senior Pass, it is $7.00 for the pass holder only. There were five of us in our party, all adults with an 8 year old.
